Eclipses beliefs

I’ve seen spiritual twitter mention not doing rituals during eclipse season, as every eclipse season. That doesn’t seem to be the case in cultures with roots. Perhaps the fear is valid if one has a lack of direction in life, a lack of balance and wisdom, if one is living a fake life. Hindus close temples during eclipses, don’t eat and don’t go out or travel that interval if possible. I grew up learning to fear eclipses like perhaps white hippies grow up with a fear of Mercury retrograde? No, I note that a larger chunk of white people fear eclipses and are busy rehashing Vedic terms, notions and even mantras.

What is Hinduism?

But really, what is Hinduism?

That doesn’t sound like the Hinduism astrologers are so fond of? But it is…

Translation: whether or not you believe in God/s or practise Vedic religion, you’re still part of the caste system. It was wholly an imposition, now assumed to be from India and we have been watching the propaganda machine in our own lifetimes in front of us. White folks btw get automatic admission to the Brahman caste, white pro-Hindus, it seems, stop spiritual rituals. But isn’t your propaganda a ritual? The anti-indigenous fear-mongering isn’t stopping.

Rituals in some African traditions did not seem to stop during eclipse season. It’s what I have witnessed.
